I am incedibly honoured to have been awarded a Literature Wales Writers’ Bursary for 2013. This will allow me to take three months away from my ‘day’ job to concentrate on finishing my second novel for Honno Press, which is set during the First World War and to be published early in 2014.
My time will start on May 1st. I can’t wait!
From the Literature Wales press release:
’English-language fiction in Wales will be particularly enriched with Francesca Rhydderch, Simon Rees and Juliet Greenwood taking time out to work on their new English-language novels.’

In the Shell Grotto at Portmeirion
Eden's Garden in Portmeirion, where it all began ...
I had a fun and happy day signing copies of Eden’s Garden at Waterstones in Llandudno last Saturday. I met some lovely readers who stayed to chat and took away their signed copies – hopefully to enjoy!
Many thanks to the wonderful staff who looked after me and made me welcome (and provided me with delicious coffee), and to the many friends who came along to support me.
As part of the celebrations for ‘Eden’s Garden’ being chosen by the Welsh Books Council as Book of the Month for May, I’ll be signing copies at Waterstones in Llandudno on Saturday May 12th 12pm – 3pm.
Everyone is welcome to come along and say hello!
